A service for people who, because of loss or grief, feel unable to participate in the normal Christmas celebrations.
Chrismas Eve, Tuesday, December 24th
4:00 pm - Children's Service (Adults welcome)
8:30 pm - Christmas Eve Service
There is a small parking lot on the church property off Fairmont Avenue and ample street parking on 9th Street and Gaston Avenue. You can also park in the Orthodontic Office lot on the corner of 9th and Gaston across from the office/gym entrance. However, if you do, please follow their new lot striping.
Christ Episcopal Church, Fairmont WV, offers worship services with Eucharist every Sunday morning at 10:30 am. Children's Sunday school for all ages is offered during our regular worship service. Adult formation is offered at 9:30 am on Sundays in the Parish Hall.
Christ Church is a warm and openhearted parish with a rich history of serving God and the Fairmont community. We are part of the Episcopal Church and the worldwide Anglican Communion, and our worship services are taken from the Book of Common Prayer.
A typical worship service at Christ Church includes traditional hymns, readings from scripture, a sermon, prayers, and the celebration of Holy Communion. In the Episcopal Church, all baptized Christians are invited to receive Holy Communion.
The worship of our church is traditional and reverent, but laughter and the noises of babies and children are more than welcome.
